Ignis Network Joins RISC-V Prosperity 2036
May 18, 2026 · 3 min read
Today, Ignis Network officially joins RISC-V Prosperity 2036 (甲辰计划). Our commitment: before the next Year of the Dragon in 2036, help build the open standards and open-source system software stack that makes RISC-V the production-ready architecture it deserves to be — from data centers to desktops, from wearables to embedded IoT.
About Ignis Network
Ignis Network was founded in 2026 by AsaiNeko and Noa Virellia. Our mission is to build resilient digital infrastructure that lasts — through a relentless focus on stability, clarity, and long-term reliability. We’ve supported the NixCN community and hosted NixCN Conference 2605, building a presence in open-source over the past year.
About RISC-V Prosperity 2036
RISC-V Prosperity 2036 launched on Chinese New Year’s Eve 2024, founded by a coalition of RISC-V software and chip teams. Dozens of companies building RISC-V products and software have since joined.
We believe RISC-V is entering the early stages of an unprecedented growth explosion. 2025 may bring over one million RISC-V application developers. RISC-V will enter the global supercomputer TOP500 in 2025 and the TOP10 by 2030. We’re living through a golden age for computer architecture and system software — and open ISAs are generating real scientific questions and engineering challenges worth solving.
From Our Technical Advisor
Cryolitia, technical advisor to Ignis Network:
RISC-V is moving from technical exploration to real production deployment, and the completeness and reliability of the system software stack is what determines how fast that happens. Ignis Network grew out of the NixCN community — we naturally inherit the technical DNA of reproducible builds and declarative system management. Starting from the Nix package ecosystem, we’re continuously building system-level infrastructure for RISC-V: package management, cross-compilation, CI, and binary caches. The goal is to give RISC-V developers an experience that matches what they get on mainstream architectures.
After joining RISC-V Prosperity 2036, we’ll keep working at the intersection of the Nix ecosystem and RISC-V — pushing forward system software adaptation, toolchain optimization, and developer tooling. We believe the combination of an open ISA and a principled package management philosophy can significantly lower the barrier for RISC-V adoption across data center, desktop, and embedded contexts. Before the next Dragon Year, we want to lay solid, practical groundwork for RISC-V becoming a mainstream ecosystem.
Join Us
We’re calling on everyone who shares this vision. Starting from this Dragon Year, let’s accelerate together — one epoch, twelve years, to complete RISC-V adaptation and optimization across all foundational industries, and build a network of over ten thousand practitioners who can carry it forward.
